Now here's news that even men suffering from high blood pressure can drink to.
Contrary to what doctors have been, and are telling, countless hypertensive patients, a study conducted by American and Dutch researchers says having a drink or two may actually lower the risks of a heart attack.

The research, in today's Annals of Internal Medicine, found that consuming less than three drinks of alcohol a day was linked with lower risk of heart attack in 11,711 men with high blood pressure studied between 1986 and 2002.
The study, which focused only on men, also found a tipping point for alcohol consumption. It said that consuming three or more drinks a day raised blood pressure, a condition that can lead to heart attacks, heart failure, kidney failure and the fatty buildup in arteries known as atherosclerosis.
A glass of beer, a glass of wine, or a shot of liquor each counted as one drink in the study, the researchers said. The analysis is based on data from study of health-care professionals.
