Remember that fight scene from Scary Movie 2 where one of the characters gets her butt kicked into the wall, but saves herself by inflating her breasts (presumably with implants) to absorb the impact? This one is a little something like that. This time, breast implants save a lady's life-for real.
An Ananova report says a 24-year old Bulgarian woman named Elena Marinova survived a head-on collision with another car because of her 40DD silicone implants, which acted as airbags.
Unfortunately, the implants burst on impact, which means another trip to the cosmetic surgeon for that lucky lady once she recovers from her injuries. But with her previous implants proving effective in saving her life, what's a few thousand dollars more for a new set?
But women shouldn't be getting breast implants just because of this piece of news. The woman got lucky, and that's pretty much it. She could have had 40FF silicone implants but still die because she was thrown through the windshield. Breast implants are by no means substitutes for actual airbags and seatbelts.
