Dating game for widowers

  • in: Dating Tag(s):

    widowerTHE dating game has often been played at different seasons by different players and so there are no hard and fast rules here.

    The game becomes a lot tougher when you're a widower or widow. Such is the case of one Sam Baldwin aka Tom Hanks whose role in "Sleepless in Seattle" became the test case for widowers out to join the dating scene after years of happy marriages.

    Though the length of time for widowers to dive straight to the loop depends on the healing process eventually the guys summon the courage to get "back in the saddle again" and meet new women.

    Fortunately widowers hold about as much appeal to women as single guys provided of course that they're not 50 or even 40 something widowers.

    For the women, widowers are faithful, financially stable and secure about their manhood. That cannot be said for a lot of guys who either just graduated from college or earn less than five figures a year.

    Widowers also have the advantage over divorced men whom women understandably have a profound sense of distrust on.

    Besides that, women generally have a soft spot for widowers especially if they look good and have a good sense of humor like Tom Hanks. Then again not every guy looks like Tom Hanks.

    datingElse how do you explain the hundreds of women callers who sent their mails to the radio station that entertained Baldwin's late night phone call tell-it-all, asking for his number and address?

    Thus the widowers have these built-in advantages when it comes to resuming the hunt for another flame.

    All they have to do is simply network with friends, find a suitable date or two and voila! The rest will take care of itself.

    No we don't mean that they shouldn't take care of the essentials, i.e. good grooming, good manners and right conduct and so on.

    But unlike those new to the dating game, they don't have to work so hard. There are advantages after all to being formerly married.
