Demi Moore still can’t get a Hollywood part despite spending so much for cosmetic surgery

This is quite sad. Isn't it disgusting to note that you've spent so much for something you intend to have but didn't get to have at all? This is practically what happened to Demi Moore and her acting career, despite spending more than £220,000 on a head-to-toe surgical makeover.

The 44-year-old actress told a magazine: "It's been a challenging few years, being the age I am. Almost to the point where I felt like, well, they don't know what to do with me. I am not 20. Not 30.

"There aren't that many good roles for women over 40. A lot of them don't have much substance, other than being someone's mother or wife."

It can be remembered that Demi Moore returned to the screen in 2003's Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle. She was seen emerging from the sea in a skimpy bikini which showed off the results of several cosmetic surgery procedures. She looked really hot in that scene, and looked so much younger than her age.

Demi Moore has reportedly had breast implants, collagen injections and liposuction on her hips, thighs and stomach. She also had a £5,000 procedure to lift the sagging skin on her knees. On top of that, she also employed a hoard of advisers including a nutritionist, personal trainer, yoga teacher, and kick-boxing coach in order to get her into tip-top shape and secure a great spot in Hollywood projects.

However, it looks like none of that is happening as of the moment. Thus, Demi has decided to speak out against ageism in Hollywood.

"If we are told we are not valuable once we hit 30, it is a problem," she said. "We all have more to give. We can't just wait for something to happen. We have to say, 'I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it any more.'"

I feel really sorry for her, going through all that for nothing. Well, at least she had one gorgeous guy Ashton Kutcher for a husband. That might well compensate all her cosmetic surgery efforts to keep her from looking like an old hag.

  • Moore, Moore, Moore… Actually Less

I used to work in the entertainment industry (graphic design), before getting a job working with a Hawaii plastic surgeon. So, I know a little bit about both. I think Demi looks great, and she ought to be happy with her looks, because unfortunately, I just read a headline yesterday that said the head of Warner Brothers will not even read a script if it has a female lead. Not looking good for Demi. Not looking good for any woman, regardless of her age or her looks. It's too bad. The good news? Demi, what with her money, good looks, fame, family, and boy toy has it better than most women... most people.

    something doesn't add up

it's amazing how much demi moore's name is brought when talking about plastic surgery. what's even more amazing are the figures that are thrown around about how she acquired her figure. yes, she's obviously had some word done (looks great, btw). but, they're always saying things like she had three million dollars in plastic surgery procedures. three million dollars?! come on. i work with a ps that performs all of the popular plastic surgery procedures but specializes in liposuction in Connecticut. if we assume that the average cost of surgery (and let's make it easy) is ten thousand dollars, then demi would've had to have three hundred surgical procedures. she would've never had time to act!

    good stuff

    Good article. Well written.

I know how Demi can get more parts...

... and I don't mean by enhancing her already stunning body parts. Although I don't work in the entertainment industry (I work with three plastic surgeons performing liposuction in Atlanta), here's how demi can get more and probably better roles - reduce her salary demands. I mean, come one, big name stars today want tens of millions of dollars. Demi's a knockout and a good actress, but she isn't worth tens of millions of dollars. In my opinion, no actor is.

    Too Much?

I agree w/everyone here that Demi looks great. I think we can all agree that she always has. Has plastic surgery helped her over the years... i think we can all agree, yes! I work in ps, with a surgeon who specializes in Houston breast augmentation, and I agree w/Michael's comment that the lack of roles in Hollywood is probably more a product of the millions of dollars she requires to star in a movie, and less on her sex or her age. Seriously, it's election time, so we're hearing the old, "teachers are underpaid." Of course, they are. So, are doctors probably. So is everyone... at least, when compared to what Demi makes.

    Cosmetic Surgery Abroad

she has gone for Cosmetic Surgery more than Golie Hawn and that's ALOT... 3 kids and a FLAT TIMMY & SMALL WAIST, the surgery is not exclusive to her face & Boobs, she has had EVERYTHING but hey.....she looks great 4 pushing 50 right?
