At least one TV show I remember in the 80s, the Knight Rider, shows the main character getting shot and then undergoing a facial plastic surgery to assume another identity, albeit that of a crime-fighter.

Then in the 90s we had this action thriller "Face Off"-the title having a double meaning once you get the drift---in which the characters of John Travolta and Nicholas Cage each had a radical makeover and exchange of identities that culminates in a slam bang showdown.

Thankfully you don't have to be a spy or an action star to avail of plastic surgery.

Heck, you don't even need to be a Hollywood celebrity type to undergo quality reconstructive facial surgery.

Of course quality services don't come cheap and there are some factors to be taken under consideration when undergoing this procedure.

And people need reminding that some procedures like rhinoplasty are more complicated and need much time for consultation as well as preparation on the patient's part for it to be successful.

Finally people need to consult with family and friends to determine if he or she should undergo this potentially life-changing procedure.

In this situation, words of support come a long way towards bolstering the patient's courage to finally agree to plastic surgery.

Whether it be to glamorize oneself or improve certain features the prospective patient should plan and prepare in the event he or she decides to undergo plastic surgery.

Only then can the benefits of these procedures be fully realized.
