  One doesn't need to be a doctor or a nutritionist to know the cause behind his/her expanding waistline. No, there is no scientific evidence to back the popular perception that gravity has something to do with it.

  A sedentary lifestyle (translated as lack of or no exercise), an unhealthy diet topped off with an even more unhealthy drinking problem all contribute to expanding one's girth to unnatural proportions.

  But of course one argues that there are quick fixes out in the market today, surgical procedures like lipoplasty that cut down the cellulite on the waist and other parts of the body for a few thousand grand give or take.

  Still undergoing these fat removal operations doesn't guarantee a person a fat-free existence.

  Old fashioned requisites like a balanced diet, a regular amount of exercise and plenty of water and sleep all help to equip a person to be more fit and capable to meet whatever challenges crop up in the later years of life.

  Doing all these can help people realize that, as they approach that magic age of 40, that life isn't all that bad. In fact, 40 may just be the beginning of a wonderful adventure.

People also have to realize that cutting all that flab doesn't guarantee a fat-free existence though it keeps you from looking like Jabba The Hutt.

Attitude! About everything changes. Sexually you feel free and for many of us our child bearing is behind us (yes I took care of it permanently - already had two wonderful kids). No more worry about preganacy and no more worry about being the 'nice' girl... now it's all about being 100% naughty - your sex kitten at night and your queen during the day (Yes of course that makes you king!) Am I a stay at home mom? Heck NO! I have a career but I also know when and how to treat a man.... fantasy has now become a wonderful way to tease each other and plan for get away's to be alone long enough to really truly enjoy each other. Sure we have homes but when was the last time you really invested in some time alone!
40 for me made me more confident, less worried about what others think, focused on what is really imporatant in relationships and I even took stock in what I really wanted for myself in the next few years. My focus these days is... when I'm sitting back celebrating the next 40 yr milestone... I want to say.. WOW now that was a trip - I regret nothing - I did everything that I wanted to.... wanna hear about it??? So far - 3yrs into 40's and going strong... I'm loving every moment!
