Liposuction Side Effects

  If a man does decide to trim that waistline and/or slice off the fat in other parts of his body through liposuction then he may want to consider a few things.

  Like any other surgical procedure liposuction doesn't come without its own unpleasant side effects. Think of it this way; for every package deal there's always a snag.

  And for every liposuction procedure--be they ultrasonic liposuction or a simple cellulite removal operation-there's always some post surgery discomforts a person has to deal with.

  Here are some of them as outlined by beautysurg.com:
  
  Excess skin: Since liposuction removes fat it may cause one's skin to become loose depending on its elasticity. Poor elasticity especially in older persons results in stretch marks.

  Those who don't want to wind up looking like the Austin Powers villain Fat Bastard who looked, as he described himself, like a "vagina" after engaging in his "Subway Diet" should seriously consider removing that excess skin.

  Contour irregularities: Lumps and bumps and irregular contours that remind you of half-baked government road projects are reportedly common in some liposuction surgeries.

  Though not a major health risk it is still an inconvenience because it would necessitate further surgical revisions.

  Liposuction scars: It can't be avoided and in some cases can become permanent. Incisions are made to accommodate the cannula, a small probing instrument and these are usually found in skin creases, pubic hair or the belly button.

  Scar reduction creams may help remove the lipo scar marks which may fade into a thin white line in about a year. In the event of swelling using a compression garment would reduce the discomfort and speed up the healing process.

Lipo: Make an Informed Choice
I'm all for talking fully about the risks of all cosmetic surgery. While cosmetic procedures are very safe overall, everyone considering their options should not forget that surgery is surgery and all cosmetic procedures carry some risk.
