Non-surgical nose job

Rhinoplasty or nose job has been around for several years now. Many clients have already enjoyed the results of the procedure, providing them freedom from their bumps, droops, and breathing difficulties. Though many qualified surgeons are adept at giving clients the best results possible, a portion of the populace is still hesitant to undergo the procedure because of fear that the procedure might go wrong or that they simply can't stand subjecting themselves to cuts and incisions.

Fortunately for this type of individuals, the Food and Drug Administration has just recently approved the use of Radiesse injections. Radiesse, a wrinkle filler, has been found effective in providing a non-surgical nose job to clients who want to straighten their nose or smooth out a bump.

    APP.com delivers the details:

New York cosmetic dermatologist Cameron Rokhsar, one of a handful of doctors around the country who have been using the filler on the nose, says the procedure is risk-free, costs about $1,500, requires only local numbing cream and takes about 15 minutes. The patient can return to normal activity immediately, and the fix lasts at least a year.

Rokhsar predicts the nonsurgical procedure will gain in popularity, because people fear the knife or don't want to pay $10,000. There is a wide range of costs, depending where you are in the country, whether you're having it done at a clinic or hospital, etc., but this is base price in New York for a rhinoplasty. "The worst case (scenario) is that you won't like it, and the nose will go back to the way it was," Rokhsar said.

With its non-invasive nature and less cost, Radiesse injections is geared to become the next Botox.

  • Non Surgical Nose Job

I'm the doctor that originated the Non Surgical Nose Job procedure 3 years ago. It is definitely a great alternative to surgical rhinoplasty. There is no downtime and minimal, if any, bruising or pain. Results last for 10 months to one year if Radiesse is used. If Artefill (a new injectable filler just approved by the FDA) is used, results last for over 10 years. The procedure is brief, lasting about 15 minutes, but it takes some experience to master the technique. It is therefore important to go to a physician who has alot of experience doing the procedure.
The other great advantage of this procedure is its versatility and precision. I do it for asian patients wanting more height to the bridge of their nose or for patients who have had surgical rhinoplasty and want to correct imperfections or poor scarring without going under the knife again.
Bumps on the bridge, drooping tips, asymmetric bridges can all be corrected quickly and easily.

    non surgical nose job

The concept of non-surgical nose job was not developed by Dr. Rivkin. The term is a genertic term, just like non surgical eyelift and non surgical face lift. I have been doing this procedure as long as Dr.Rivkin. If fact there are many physcians around the coountry and the world that have done this for at least three years. Dr. Rivkin should take credit for being media savy, not creating a concept.

    Only the Nose KNows

I don't know who should receive credit for creating the concept, but Cosmetic Surgery Magazine has a great Injectable Nose Job article with a video of the procedure as well. Does it matter who created the procedure or coined it? If you're interested in the procedure, just get the facts about how it's performed.

Often real surgery is the solution

I think injections are a great procedure but unfortunately when it comes to noses it is often not the answer. Almost every rhinoplasty the patients asks for a smaller nose, whether that be the tip or the bridge, or both - they want something made smaller. Injecting more volume into your nose only makes it bigger.

    rhinoplasty

Your nose may be the most defining feature of your face. Therefore it is understandable that many people elect to improve the shape and/or size of their nose through rhinoplasty, sometimes called a "nose job." Some patients seek to transform a large or bulbous nose, repair a damaged nose, or correct a breathing problem or other conditions that may have plagued them for years.

    non surgical

Dr. Rivkin is not that great of a doctor. I had a friend go to him and all he did was inject really quick without even really examining it. He put way too much radiesse on his nose and it looks so much bigger. The radiesse lasts up to 3 years or longer now he's stuck. You can put steroids on it but it doesnt really help the radiesse it just thins your skin and makes it look wierder. He claims every patient he fixes is happy but thats just a lie. Hes really good at marketing every blog to make himself look good. Watch out!
