That First Time

prom date ONE worthy observation about scoring with the girl of your dreams is summed up in this bit of sage advice by Sean Connery to Nicholas Cage in that bombastic Jerry Bruckheimer action flick called "The Rock."

In one particularly heart-tugging scene the crusty Connery tells off a whimpering Cage in his sarcastic Scottish brogue "Your best? Losers whine about doing their best. Winners go home and f--- the prom queen."

This in a crude way describes what a lot of guys are looking forward to in their dates, especially prom dates; the chance to get laid. That once in a lifetime opportunity of scoring with the prom queen, the top cheerleader, the hottest chick on campus.

Sure, there are lots of nice girls draped in equally nice prom dresses wth their nice manners and nice family-yes, the father's okay even if he has a baseball bat on his side as he shows you the way out.

But deep in their shallow hearts not a few hormonally charged teenage males prefer the "easy girl", the "bad chick", the "blonde cheerleader", the "beauty queen" etc.-all stereotypes of what men think are the pinnacles of female beauty.

Not to moralize here of course or else one would just skip this page faster than a guy jumping out of a bed of hot coals. Just that when one talks about doing it FOR THE FIRST TIME, it's not as easy as some people think.

prom girls Oh sure there are the pros who brag about their latest bedroom conquests to their gullible pals whether these were true or not; Then there are the guys who keep a record of sorts of their exploits done with or without the permission of their lovers.

This proves quite exciting and can even give a guy some serious street cred if the girl he's banging suddenly became a famous actress or personality.

Look to socialite Paris Hilton for some reference and easy inspiration. But to those who value intimacy with one's partner, sex can become something a lot more meaningful.

So whether it be on a prom date, a casual outing or a visit at home with one's girl, making that decision to have sex isn't as easy as one thinks especially if he has feelings for her. More on this in the next days.
