Water-resistant Headphones

Working out to great music helps pump us up, and is undeniably fun too. Walking or pumping iron have become a much more pleasant experience because of music, which is probably why people doing their exercises without headphones stuck into their ears have become a rare sight these days.

The problem is, exercise brings on sweat, which in turn can damage your headphones. This is probably what headphone maker Sennheiser had in mind when it launched a whole new line of headphones that are resistant to water-and of course, to sweat. According to a recent feature in The New York Times:

The Series 3 Sport line of headphones has six styles of phones that can be identified by their neon green accents. The headphones, currently available through Amazon.com, range in price from $35 to $55 (the OMX-70, shown here, is $40). They adjust to the ear by lengthening and turning the phones for optimum sound and have soft rubber earpeices for comfort.

The phones are made with rubberized speaker parts and are sealed at seams where water might infiltrate.

This definitely makes singing in the shower take on a whole new dimension.
