It is not something that would give you a migraine, but it is indeed quite a problem when tattoos start to lose their appeal. In fact, if those hearts, flowers, snakes or whatever marks you had your tattoo artist painted on your body start to annoy rather than amuse, you might as well start thinking of ways on how to get rid of them.

After enduring the painful process of getting those now regrettable marks from a licensed tattoo artist, you are now finding ways to get rid of these body marks and hope that you don't have to go through a painful (again?) solution to address the dilemma.

Good thing there is indeed a painless way to tattoo removal. Rank My Tattoos provides an article that talks about a wonder cream that can successfully remove tattoos within a couple of weeks. Here is what the article has to say:

The makers of Wrecking Balm boast of their magical product: a cream that causes your tattoo to fade away. The process requires a system of physical tissue deconstruction along with the cream as well as botanical chemical peels.

However, the main factors one must consider before jumping on the bandwagon are the ink density, depth, surface size, and color of the tattoo. In order to be successful with the cream, you must use it consistently for weeks to get any type of results. After a few weeks, your body's ability to renew surface cells becomes stronger and the skin will be regenerated, causing the tattoo to fade.

Now that's absolutely a painless method to fade those tattoos away. If your tattoos are qualified for removal based on the criteria given, then you are on your way to freedom from those now unsightly marks. And with the cost of $150 and a money-back guarantee, it's absolutely pain-free and worry-free. If this isn't the best deal ever, I don't know what else to call this.

  • thanks for the info

Im glad this site was here to dissuade me form buying this piece of shit product. It sounded like a scam from the beginning but as someone had mentioned people will believe anything if they want it to be true badly enough (hence religion). Im gonna try the salt thing too..hell maybe itll lighten it up a bit and save me a few laser treatments.

    salt tattoo removal

not kidding at all.... I just found this site last night, and tried the "salt and gauze" method, and today, my girlfriend who didnt even know i did this last night said "wow that looks like its fading" and I explained to her that i tried some "wild" method that i read about online and she was stunned because her as well as a few of my friends agreed that it was deffinitly lighter. Not gone by any means, but I didnt try to hard because I was skeptical, but IT DOES WORK. Immediatley after this method you can rub your tattoo and feel it swollen up. I am deffinitly going to use this method along with the "CVS" method of removal, I will take pictures and let any one who is interested the final outcome of this. If you are offended by "racist material" then don't ask to see pictures because the tattoo that I want to rid my body of is a Swastika I had gotten done about 2 years ago, not going to get into why I got it, but the fact of the matter is I REGRET it, and dont want that disgusting thing on my body any longer.... Thanks to the original poster of the "Salt" method, helped me out a lot..... BUT BE AWARE IT DOES HURT!!!! hahaha but its all worth it.

    Salt Removal - Need help

I am very curious and would like to try the home-remedy salt removal. I have a tattoo on my lower back that was done home-made. I am very embarrassed about it, and changed my lifestyle since having it done.
Please email me at if you have directions on the salabrasion (salt technique) to be done at home. I've read things on the internet and they all direct you to a dermatologist....too expensive, and I'd like to work on it now.
    Thanks so much!

    Donation for "Permanent Mistake"

Hey everyone, I thought maybe we could all start a donation for Mr. "Permanent mistake" to go out and buy a gun to put in his mouth and pull the f*#$ing trigger!! Or maybe he could just belt sand his face off while he's at it! ha ha dumbass, some people actually like and get GOOD TATTOOS that are worth having, and like another fellow said on here, he makes a 6 figure income, like myself and we're covered in tattoos. Guess that's what happens when you're a REAL TATTOO ARTIST. As for everyone else on here, I've never seen a product like this that works yet, you're better off sticking with a good laser technician, check around for before and after shots with these guys also. It does not, and should not have to scar! And if you just want to get another cover up tattoo, it can be lightened with the laser to work. Just make sure the guy doing the coverup work is worthy also.

    Well...

After reading all this I think just buying the stuff that is included in the Wrecking Balm from the drug store sound like it is at least worth a shot.

I am a independent pro wrestler and I have a Odin's Cross (a white pride symbol) tattooed on my arm. I did this when I was 19 and in the marine corps with only dreaming of getting out and wrestling. Now, I have to cover up this tattoo because I don't want people to think that I am a racist person, which I am not. In fact one of the things is I have the tattoo because people like to call me a "wigger" which I find racist in itself.

The tattoo is all black and very dark. I wanted to get it covered up and went to a tattoo artist who said it as bold and black at it is it would be hard to do. So I suggested turning it into a regular Celtic cross, then this guy goes off on me about why do I want to get it covered up if I am proud of who I am? I was like what the hell..I wanna give you my money and you talk like that. So I left.

So I'm gonna try this method and maybe the salt method. I just want it lighten enough to get something else. I hope this time I will be smarter about my choice in what I get to replace it.

Oh and I am not Trailer Trash or am I Emotionally Damaged. If you have to come online and talk down to people because you are insecure about your own life then maybe you are the one who is F'd up.

    My awesome tattoo!

I have a tattoo on my butt that says "Insert cock here." You think wrecking balm will work on that?

    doesn't work so far

My husband got the Wrecking Balm to take off a tattoo of his ex-wife's name. Two weeks later, it's not working one bit. He's followed the regimen to a T, even skipping sunscreen or extra lotions that aren't part of the WB package. Save your money-get it lasered or covered up!

    guarantee

always look for those guarantees or demand them while talking to a manager or higher up. this way, you can find the right treatment that works. just be careful cause some companies will offer you a deal in exchange for that guarantee (ie: reduced price, or in the case of wrecking balm, third shipment free). you might have to pull tricks like chargeback on your credit card (make sure you are in the right when you do this) or you might have to lose shipping and handling cash, but its better than 2/300$ plus, huh? and dont forget to post your results all over. your word is important.

    thank you

Thanks for the advice...comes to find out I hadnt even activated my card so they werent able to charge it at all...I am still looking for some less expensive ways to get my lovely new tattoo fixed. It has finally started to scab and believe it or not some of the color is coming out with the scab. As for the professional that did such a great job on some simple lettering I will be paying him a visit tomorrow to show him just how good of a job he did. I am also going to ask for a refund since he is also one of these business men that guarantees his work...LOL He is going to have 2 choices and I am sure that he will take the cheaper way out with refunding my money. I have also checked in with some other tattoo artists and I think that it will be able to be covered. But still anyone with suggestions please let me know. And again THANK YOU!!!

    Smurf on The Butt

I've recently got a tattoo of a smurf on my buttox, but I'm just curious will this cream work for my butt? My parent's noticed it when I was getting spanked for kicking the neighbors dog again.. /sigh oh well. Ill just sit in a bucket of salt/water and squirm around maybe that will work. Besides I tried using the laser pointer and it just put a red dot on my butt. Weird, oh well.

    Laser Removal

I suggest laser removal but shop around, you can find it for a great price. I have a 1.5in x 1in colored tattoo on my wrist. I was told I would have to have between 7 and 12 treatments. The cost is 100.00 a treatment plus another 40.00 if I want the antistatic. Of course I pay the extra 40.00. It really helps. I seem to be having great progress. If you are in the Dallas, TX area you should check out Dallas Tattoo Removal Clinic. http://www.dallastattooremovalclinic.com

    Acid?

Does anyone know if the acid they use for acne scars remove or fade a tattoo? I thought that putting that on would take off several layers of the skin. I know you have to do it then let it heal then repeat. Any knowledge of that would be helpful to me.

    tats

some people get tatoos removed for religious reasons but if you are still gonna have a scar then there isnt much point wasting your time

    wrecking balm ingredients

I'm in the chemical distribution business and I know what hydroquinone is... I sell drums of this stuff to industry and know it to be a carcinogen. However, this doesn't mean I will not put it on my skin to chemically break up tatoo ink. Any oxidizer will do the same thing. I will probably try hydrogen peroxide in concentrations around 5-8% or even "Oxyclean" which is sodium percarbonate. Sodium percarbonate is a strong oxidizer and will not burn as bad as peroxide. I have 3 tatoos and only want one of them gone (on my upper arm). Any chemists out there with suggestions??? Better living through chemistry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    results are NOT typical

LOL...did you guys read the disclaimer under the only pics they posted on the side http://www.wreckingbalm.com/skeptics.html?

"These results not typical. Individual results will vary."

    too funny

    Rejuvi Tattoo Remover

I've been removing tattoos for over 3 years now with Rejuvi. I tell all my clients that there is no guarantee from me or from anybody else (Laser or otherwise) that they should believe. I've had great success from some and no success from others. Your body does not want to let anything in through the skin, that's it's job! No cream or liquid spread on the surface will get to the ink in a sufficient strength and if it does, what do you expect it to do? The ink has to be molecularly destroyed as with a laser or bond to something that the body doesn't want like Rejuvi and be forced back out to the surface when the skin is trying to regenerate. Don't waist your money on home treatments, go to a professional of your choice.

    Damage=Healing

I got a few tats, one that cover my entire upper chest, friends that are tattoo artists, know a little about dermatology, yada yada. I got this stupid tat on my neck when i was 15 from a tweeker with a homemade kit(real gun and ink but he sucked). In any case i am older now and having a tattoo on my neck gets me unwanted attention and assumptions in places i would rather not have the scrutiny(i.e. work, church, family gatherings).
In order to get that ink out of the dermis you have to damage the cells that its in, this means a penetrating laser removal, or if your more pain tolerant the lemon juice, salt treatment will work, salt as an agitant to open the pores and epidermis, lemon juice as the solvent.
I cannot reccomend a skin lightner/exfoilator to get out something that deep in your epidermis, you need to damage that tissue to get it out, good luck.^^

    wtf is perminate?

Getting a BAD tattoo is a PERMANENT mistake, one made by many types of people, not just victims of emotional TRAUMA or those leading TWISTED LIVES. I suggest you focus less on psychological analysis of the tattooed and concentrate more on trying to write a coherent sentence.

    TCA guy posting the bog

I used the TCA also from Ebay and it scared the Sh*t out of me and I only applied it once the tat is gone but I have a big beautiful scar in place of it becareful...

Hydroquinone is NOT in Wrecking Balm

Wrecking Balm does not contain this ingredient. There are, however all-natural botanicals, and yes, we have gained FDA Approval. We welcome skeptics. We want you to document your experience through photos, so we can share your experience with others. Although every tatoo is different, our product WILL work for you. It's not a matter of IF it works, it's a matter of how long it takes, as with any tatoo removal methods. Call us, take our "Pepsi Challange" for yourself. We know you'll love it, period.

    wrecking balm

I have my ex-husband's name tattooed on me and when I heard about this product on the radio I was very excited - but after reading what the rest of you have to say, I will not be buying this stuff. I guess if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Thanks!

    Tatoos OOPS

    Hello all
Well I've read and researched and Then I found this site. Thank you so so much for the all your experience . I have a tat on my ankle I think I will be going to get it lasered off.

Once again thanks for the tips

    I said I want a fricken "Lasor"

I have had 7 laser treatments and yes the tat is fast disapering. The treatments are only $75.00 and yes it does hurt, but just for a sec or two. Glad I found this discussion on wreckingbaum.

Wrecking Balm does make a difference

I heard it on H. Stern. Ordered it. Been using it for 3 months on an old tatt on my elbow...

My the black in my tattoo got a lot brighter and is now fading away. It's a bit of pain in the ass to use it every other day but it does work. It's not gone yet but has faded it a lot...

I cansee why it would be really hard to use wrecking balm on bigger tattoos. That would take forever. but for small ones it really does make a difference and fade it

The bottom line is you just have to follow directions and commit to using it every othere day... It's working!!!

    Laser Tattoo Removal

I've had five laser treatments on the green vine armband I had, and all of the black has been removed after the first 2, with the green faded, but still very distinctive. I was told that I would need 10 - 12 more treatments to remove the green. $250 each. I got impatient and tried to use a needle and salt, but the color remained, and I ended up with a scars. I tried topical treatments, that did nothing more than irritate my skin and scar too. So I'm back to the laser...

I don't think you would get any result from the cream on a professional tattoo. Because the amateur tattoos are closer to the surface they could fade, but if you're willing to pay $180 for the wrecking balm, you might as well double it and get it removed by a laser. If it's black and close to the surface it shouldn't take more than a few treatments to get completely rid of it anyway.

It is well worth the cost of the laser to prevent scarring or other permanant dammage of your skin. Why would it matter if a tattoo is gone if a scar in the same shape remains?

    Tattoo

Tat two leave one and for the dude who thinks my life is twisted just because I have tat's needs to have the sack to say that to my face. I am what I am but not because of my tats. I do have one I would like to rework and though about the wrecking balm but now after reading this I think I'll pass.

    Free Removal

A lot of laser surgeons will remove a tattoo for free or at a great discount if it is racial or a gang symbol to promote a better society.

If you have something like that you should contact the laser surgeons office and explain you can't afford it, but you don't want to be affiliated with it anymore and they will more than likely work something out with you.

Call for yourself if you dont believe me

    Folks,
So I just called the 888 number for Wreckingbalm and the call went really well. I asked about FDA approval, "is it a bleaching agent", how long would it take, etc, etc. The guy on the other end was a very good salesman but was extremeley pushy. I told him that I didnt have the money and then he asked is it a Credit Card or Debit Card....what business is it of his. I said, "Dude, I cant do it RIGHT NOW" and then he says, "I understand that but what really has you concerned"...come on dude. Honestly, that was enough for me not to buy the product right there! I have a small (2.5 inch by 1.5 inch) tattoo on my right shoulder/arm that I got in 1995, it was homemade and done with an India type ink. Black and light yellow were the only colors. Now, 2007, it has really faded on its own and I think maybe some scrubbing or WreckingBalm will do the trick. No matter how much I run from it, it seems even more apparent now that Laser removal might be the way to go in the end. I feel lucky, my tat is small compared to others outhere, anybody got any advice? Peace!

    wrecking balm

i am so glad i read this stuff. i was contemplating trying that stuff for an old tat i made when i was 15...i dont really hate it, but sometimes it would be nice if it were gone. anyhow, thanks to all the people who left remarks, im definately gonna find a different approach!
