Wrecking Balm for tattoo removal

It is not something that would give you a migraine, but it is indeed quite a problem when tattoos start to lose their appeal. In fact, if those hearts, flowers, snakes or whatever marks you had your tattoo artist painted on your body start to annoy rather than amuse, you might as well start thinking of ways on how to get rid of them.

After enduring the painful process of getting those now regrettable marks from a licensed tattoo artist, you are now finding ways to get rid of these body marks and hope that you don't have to go through a painful (again?) solution to address the dilemma.

Good thing there is indeed a painless way to tattoo removal. Rank My Tattoos provides an article that talks about a wonder cream that can successfully remove tattoos within a couple of weeks. Here is what the article has to say:

The makers of Wrecking Balm boast of their magical product: a cream that causes your tattoo to fade away. The process requires a system of physical tissue deconstruction along with the cream as well as botanical chemical peels.

However, the main factors one must consider before jumping on the bandwagon are the ink density, depth, surface size, and color of the tattoo. In order to be successful with the cream, you must use it consistently for weeks to get any type of results. After a few weeks, your body's ability to renew surface cells becomes stronger and the skin will be regenerated, causing the tattoo to fade.

Now that's absolutely a painless method to fade those tattoos away. If your tattoos are qualified for removal based on the criteria given, then you are on your way to freedom from those now unsightly marks. And with the cost of $150 and a money-back guarantee, it's absolutely pain-free and worry-free. If this isn't the best deal ever, I don't know what else to call this.

  • maybe it's for me

I have a 4 year old tattoo. it is home made, not large, and not very deep at all. it has already faded from a solid black to a medium/dark blue. also it is just an outline, with no color filled in. I'm really thinking that this product might actually work for me, but i have not found an example of anyone with such a miniscule tat actually testifying.

Lasers, saltwater, rabid beavers and such......

Ok.....I am so glad I found this forum! I contacted a tattoo shop here in Oklahoma City that referred me to a woman in Dallas (sigh...4 hours away) that uses a ruby laser? anyone know anything about this? It is supposed to scar less or something.
I have a rather large tat on my forearm that I hate and quite frankly if there where some sort of miracle skin graft that would just let me switch out some butt cheek skin with the forearm tat skin...I'd be happy.
Unfortunately, I know that skin grafts aren't that simple. The Tattoo is about the size of a palm and it starts RIGHT at the bend in my forearm.
Also I tend to keloid which (if you don't know) is a nasty ropey sort of scar tissue that is raised and looks like something out of DUNE is coming up through your skin.
My original strategy was to find a product like wrecking balm or some sort of all natural stuff to fade it over a long time.
Then, I would do the laser on whatever is left over and just hope it doesn't scar too bad.
I heard (probably bs) that you can tattoo salwater into the existing tatt and that will "bleed it out"....but that sounds pretty far fetched. I almost don't care if I have a scar there anymore.
I had a crush on the artist and I just let him freehand some crapola on there. I guess it was my way of being intimate at the time. OOOOPPS :( Now it looks like Walt Disney threw up on my arm.
hahaaaaaa at least I can laugh at myself about it I guess ;) I still have plenty of ink that I would never part with and is truly beautiful.
Anyone in here done dermabrasion? What does your tat look like now? I've also considered the hot knife thing (as mentioned above), belt sander or of course.... rabid beaver CHOMP CHOMP!

    Tattoo on butt

To the "Dude" who posted the comment on the wrecking balm working on his "Insert cock here" tattoo on his butt. Just make sure you put it ON your butt and not IN your butt!

    wrecking balm

The only proven way to remove/lighten tattoos is by laser. This cream, like the rest is a scam and does not work. Don't waste your money you will be very sorry you if you buy this crap.

    Thanks for the warning...

My nephew told me to use Wrecking ball cream that it would take several months to remove an old (1977) tat that I want off my arm. After reading all the comments here, I am not going to even take a chance on it. I would rather keep it as a reminder of my youthful stupidity then to waste several hundreds on a product that does not work. Thanks for the warning...

    Laser Treatment?

I am sorry but, I think it is foolish to spend that kind of money to have a tattoo removed, just to live with a scar where the tattoo was! I have seen people that have spent the $1000s of dollars on lasers that now have nasty looking scars, that to me aren't any better looking then a bad tat! To be honest I am not really happy with most of my 13 tattoos but, I would rather spend a couple hundred to have them fixed or covered, then thousands to have them removed. You don't find many people without tats anymore, so why be ashamed of them & be scared worse for life?

    Laser treatment

Ok, so I was interested in buying wrecking balm until I read this site.... Thanx
I had laser treatment done on three of my tatoos and first of all it cost me a fortune after the antibiotics and the numbing cream (this is for just one treatment, it typically takes around 3 to fully remove) second I now have scars, some are raised up and some are sunk down and wrinkly. Very ugly and yes, it hurt and after the treatment you have to keep a cream on it and wrap it up and you get this greenish colored goo (color pending the color of your tat) and it is the ink coming up from the skin and its just nasty and painfull and expensive. I'll put it this way, I never went back for the other treatments.

    laser tattoo

I started laser tattoo removal on 3 of my 4 tattoos. all dark, heavy black ink. 2 are completely gone. and one, which was very heavily inked larger sized letters still has a little way to go on one out five of the letters. true, tattoos are not for everyone. but over the course of the 3 or 4 years that i wanted mine gone i never broke down and purchased any of these miracle creams. laser is the way to go. and if you do go laser. the best way to heal your skin afterwards is with real, aloe plants. its soothes and heals. plus wants it starts to itch you can use it to scratch. thanks god for the web, cause i might have tryed this stuff on my last letter. but not after reading the comments thus far.

    Wrecking balm

Wrecking balm has worked for me and i've only used it one week...its faded alt!!!!

Wrecking Balm is a waste of time & money

I recently finished a 60 day session with Wrecking Balm on a small tattoo on my arm that was put on back in 1972. The approx measurements were 2 inches tall by inches wide. Two colors, mostly black with red highlights. The balm did absolutely zero in removing any of this tattoo and I followed directions to the word. even shaving hair over the tattoo when I started. I have had friends use salt and that worked much better than this stuff did. I am going to use salt and lemon juice because I have seen this method work. I did get a laser quote and it was $900 to $1200 so I thought in the beginning that Wrecking Balm was the inexpensive answer.
Now.......for the refund process. Forget it. The company will have you throwing up blood in a matter of minutes with further promises and further 'free' shipments of their product. I would dare say that very few people actually get their money back when the product doesn't work. So keep this in mind. I have no doubt that some people see results. This may be due to skin condition, age, ect. I am a white male in my 50's with a lightly tanned complexion and really no skin problems. Bottom line? Laser works but is pricey. Salt dermabrasion works but is a little painfull and time consuming......but very cheap. I would pass on Wrecking Balm if I were you.

    Lemon Juice

When I was a kid I meet this biker who injected lemon juice into the tatoo and faded it away.

    Just food for thought

    yikes

i found this blog really helpful in getting me over my excitement about Wrecking Balm. i have a lot of tattoos and just one small one that i'd like to get rid of without a cover-up, if possible. most of you seem straightforward enough with the exceptions of the "emotionally disturbed" and "trailer trash" people, who def. need to get themselves a hobby.

i find it a little scary that so many people have tattoos yet so few can actually spell "tattoo." this includes the person who left the endorsement for Wrecking Balm. also, "scared" means frightened. i think most are searching for the word "scarred" with two r's. i'm not normally bitchy about stuff like that but i just read this site from start to finish and it is excruciating to see those words mangled over and over again.

    Tattoo removal

I think that this site was made so that people could come here to try to get answers to questions...not to be told how bad thier spelling is or called names.I do know what the guy who said "people where messed up in the head to get tattoos" was saying. Not that those where the exact words he used. But what he was saying is that you get tattoos because you think its cool and it changes for some people over the years. I am 34 years old and I have 4 BAD tattoos that I have had since I was 15 years old!! all poked in with a needle and indian ink.
I hate them SO much!!! I cant wear pretty dresses or shorts because they are just ugly!!!
I have been looking into getting them removed.
what I am trying to say is" Come on guys and gals..you shouldnt come in here judging or thinking people are judging...and then go and get angry and post nasty replies!! " thats NOT what this is meant for...at least I dont think thats what its meant for:P
Just think hard before you post something that may make you sound a bit...frumpy vocabulary wise:P
And by the way...My spelling SUCKS also...maybe its all the indian ink soaking into my brain cells!!!

    wreckingbalm

I used wreckingbalm and now my tattoo is totally gone (even in the 2 months they said) by the way people if you actually read up on it it is FDA approved and the moron who said he got a 30 day money back guarantee should read his paperwork again because its a 60 day guarantee. It worked great and everyone was really nice to me. I'm going to order more to get my other tattoos taken care of too. It didn't hurt and my skin looks great too.

I need a solution to the

I need a solution to the removal of a crappy tattoo. I was looking into the whole wrecking balm thing but, from what I'm seeing here, I don't know if it is worth risking. What other solutions are there to removing a tattoo? If anyone has a solution, email me at .

    Salt treatment

I would like to hear more about this salt removal treatment. I am really interested in trying this method since I don't have the money for laser removal. Please email .

I was going to try Wrecking Balm until I found this site. I called them before and the operator was so pushy, I hung up on him. He didn't even know if they had a website. There website just went up and like mentioned in a couple postings, it is a joke of a site.

    The Salt Method

This site saved me the pain from ordering Wrecking Balm. When I first called them a while ago, the lady on the phone didn't even know if they had a website. I had to hang up on her because she was so pushy.

Can someone email me the steps to follow that they used doing the salt scrub. I don't mind the pain.

    laser removal

i'm on my fourth laser removal session and it works! hurts like heck, but just briefly and mostly just in the wallet. $200/session here in new england. give it 8 weeks in between sessions.
also, if you're getting scarring, they may be setting the intensity of the laser too high, or you might be going too often. ask them to adjust the intensity up or down; it's your skin!! they set it too low on my second session and i got no results. i asked them to turn up the juice and they gave me a free session...

    Air Thief

"People who cover their bodies with tattoos have major emotional trama in their twistewd lifes. Nothing cool about getting any tattoos, regardless of their size".

To Mr Anonymous, your an air thief. Take your negative outlook and get bent. Who the Fu%k are you to judge us?

    Wrecking Balm

Well I hope I didn't make a stupid mistake... I just started using Wrecking Balm two days ago. My skin is totally red and sometimes bleeds. I will give it a few months since my tatoos are old and one is home done. (supposedly they type wrecking balm works best on...) It was interesting to read some different opionions, I wish I had come here before ordering though.

    scarring

This is just a comment to help out the person with raised scarring from laser removal...
I had a mole shaved off while I was at the dermatologist because it looked like it was a funny shape. i don't have many freckels or moles or antyhing like that, so the few I have- i tend to over-inspect! my mother had skin cancer so he said- lets just shave it off to be safe. i was having a cist removed from my head at the time.
well, instead of a very small funny shaped mole that only i was bothered by- i have a raised scar the size of a dime right on my stomach. it pisses me off that he didn't tell me there was a chance of this happening.
the dr. injected it with a steriod and a couple days later it flattened out. so at least it isn't raised, but its still there.
so my advice is to go to a real dermatologist and see if they can inject it for you. the needles are so small and it really doesn't hurt, if you survived the tattoo, the small injection(s) you will need will be nothing! he said it will last a long time and it might never "raise" again. hope this was helpful
**thanks to everyone for the wrecking balm posts** since I scar and it gets raised, I can't have laser removal- so I was a phone call away from wasting my money on the hope that this would work! but thanks- i need to just suck it up and cover it.

    laser removal

It is physiologically impossible for wrecking balm to work. Tattoos are visible because the ink particles are too big for the body to absorb. The body tries to remove the foreign material and then creates scar tissue around the large ink particles and they stay where they are. Lasers are like a big rock crusher and they break up the particles so they are small enough for the body to absorb. There is heat involved when lasers are used and that is why scarring can happen. I have an amazing doctor who is always "renting" the latest lasers to try on her clients. I have a 15 year old tattoo on my ankle and it took 5 treatments to get rid of. Most take more treatements but mine was so small and only in black ink. It didn't hurt at all since I put the topical anisthetic on for three hours before my appointment. My doctor says that lasers are like buying a new computer and three months later they come out with a newer and better machine. Do your research! Talk to a few doctors. My doctor also is in the process of removing a huge tattoo on her back that she got 17 years ago when she was a teenager. If she is willing to use something on herself then I certainly trust her to use it on me. I asked her about products like Wrecking Balm and she said they are a joke. I certainly trust a Harvard grad more than I trust a sales guy on the phone. Sure laser removal is expensive but you would probably pay five times that much for a car that you drive for a few years and your skin is with you forever!

where do you get your treatments?

I live in New England. Where do you go for your treatments?, because I pay $500 a treatment in Lexington, Mass

    Rejuvi/ E-RAZE

Man, i was doing all the research on this magic eraser and can't find it for purchase anywhere. My hometown in fresno had a whole news story on this product in a gang "clean up" mission and it actually worked! If anyone knows where to buy it on-line or shops in San Francisco area... please let me know!!!

    rejuvi/e-raze

veronica, i can only find the website for the UK. i'd suggest calling the television station that did the show, see what they have to say about it. i asked my local artist about it, and about tatgoneink, and he says both are not that great, they are basically the same thing you use to lighten your hair, just injected under your skin. i'm trying porcelana fade cream (2% hydroquinone) and an apricot scrub. i'll keep everyone posted as to results!

    as you can tell

i think faster than i can type or spell sorry about the spelling
