Wrecking Balm for tattoo removal

It is not something that would give you a migraine, but it is indeed quite a problem when tattoos start to lose their appeal. In fact, if those hearts, flowers, snakes or whatever marks you had your tattoo artist painted on your body start to annoy rather than amuse, you might as well start thinking of ways on how to get rid of them.

After enduring the painful process of getting those now regrettable marks from a licensed tattoo artist, you are now finding ways to get rid of these body marks and hope that you don't have to go through a painful (again?) solution to address the dilemma.

Good thing there is indeed a painless way to tattoo removal. Rank My Tattoos provides an article that talks about a wonder cream that can successfully remove tattoos within a couple of weeks. Here is what the article has to say:

The makers of Wrecking Balm boast of their magical product: a cream that causes your tattoo to fade away. The process requires a system of physical tissue deconstruction along with the cream as well as botanical chemical peels.

However, the main factors one must consider before jumping on the bandwagon are the ink density, depth, surface size, and color of the tattoo. In order to be successful with the cream, you must use it consistently for weeks to get any type of results. After a few weeks, your body's ability to renew surface cells becomes stronger and the skin will be regenerated, causing the tattoo to fade.

Now that's absolutely a painless method to fade those tattoos away. If your tattoos are qualified for removal based on the criteria given, then you are on your way to freedom from those now unsightly marks. And with the cost of $150 and a money-back guarantee, it's absolutely pain-free and worry-free. If this isn't the best deal ever, I don't know what else to call this.

  • laser

    Hi,

I stumbled on this web site this afternoon and have read all of the posts. Someone mentioned Wrecking Balm to me and I thought I would check it out. It does not appear to be legitimate, but that does not mean that I would not give it a shot. I have a fairly large tattoo on my foot. I have had 4 laser treatments at $750 each and the tattoo has faded dramatically. I have no scarring yet and expect that I will only need a few more treatments. I will warn you- it is very painful and takes a long time to heal on a sensative area such as the foot. The only color that has not faded much is the green. I think that I am going to try to hydroquinone and scrub on that area. I will post again once I know whether it will be successful or not.

    Hydroquinone and exfoliating??

    To MELISSA who said:

"I got Porcelana 2% hydroquinone(6.99) and medicated apricot srcub(2.99) from CVS and the second day I could see the tattoo fading."

Can you update on your tat? Pics?

    Thanks, Jessica

    Tattoo Removal

If you have a tattoo you want to remove and can't afford the laser treatments, go to your local police station, tell them that your tattoo is/was gang related and would like to get it off. There's a program that offers free laser removal for tats that one has gotten while they were in a gang and are now trying to change their life around.

    sketchy very sketchy

After reading all these comments I decided to call the number on the website myself and see what all these people were saying was somewhat true. I started off by asking the representative why there was only one before and after, and mentioned that I had gone on the internet to research this product and only heard bad things. Then I went on to mention that the main ingredients you could find in CVS for under $15.00. I asked him to explain why that was and if he could give me a more in depth explanation of the product. He went on to tell me that he wasn't even going to bother because I was too skeptical and could tell I wasn't even going to buy the product. WOW! He was so rude during the conversation that I eventually called him an asshole and hung up. Just by talking with this guy I could tell that all they were interested in was my money. They want you to call and order...bottom line.Where it says "skeptics welcome" is a load of crock. They don't even want to bother getting the record straight or waste time explaining it to you if you sound at all skeptical. Point of the story, go with something else that tells you what you're actually buying, these f-ing peope don't even know what the hell they're trying to sell you.....

"ooohhh I'm so glad I found this Sitw! OOOOOhhhh!"

Oh my god are you all f'ing retarded? If you never tried the product, and you know nothing more than when you called the company you got a "hard sell" then you should shut the hell up.
What do you think those folks answering the phones job is??? It's called a SALES position. That's what they do. Hey try calling any companys "sales line" and guess what you will find? On average at least. It's a job. okay. If you don't know what you're talking about, don't be the one whose ansering questions of other folks who don't know either.
    Thanks for your time.

    uhh?

if your tattooless..why are you looking at this site? ddddhhhh...

    Wrecking Balm

I'm currently researching tattoo removal techniques. I was excited about trying Wrecking Balm until I saw this site. On the other hand, not one single post I read on this site actually mentioned using the product for the recommended six months. If I can get the product for $150 or less I might give it a shot.

pictures are worth a thousand words

I found this site when looking into tattoo removal options. Personally, I need to remove a tattoo that I mistakenly did not research enough, and ended up with a kanji character that's not even a real character, so it obviously doesn't mean what I wanted it to. My plan is to remove it and to put the correct one over it.

In any case, I read through all 7 pages of this thread, and there is not one person who posted any pictures of their removals, laser or otherwise.

Can anyone please post pictures of any removal, or failed removal they have?

    Thanks,
    -Mark

    sauerkraut ???

i heard that if you put sauerkraut ( otherwise known as pickeled cabbage i guess) , no idea how long you leave it on, it will fade your tattoo.
anyone ever heard of this?, or is this just another " grandma's homemade remedy"

    Laser and Tattoo off

I tried Tattoo off removal creme. Bad idea, it did not work, a BIG scam. So far after one laser treatment on three of my all black tattoos, fading is dramatic! Great results so far but be warned, it hurts like heck. My arm was very swollen and blistered. The laser is a Med yag. I pay $300.00 per session here in NY. I would never pay more than that. I have a Dermatologist doing the work. I will go every three months for each. I read that three months the tattoo is still fading and to go before is a waste.

    does goat milk remove tatto's

Has anyone ever heard such a thing as goat milk removing tattoo's? get at me.

    Sauerkraut on tat

Sauerkraut works awesome!!! But you don't just put it on your skin and just leave it there. First you have to rub some Johnsonville Brats that were cooked on the grill on the tat. Then you need to rub a little mustard on it. Then finally the sauerkraut. The family dog or cat will come over and lick the tat, provided it's in a tasteful location(No pun intended) and your tat will fade. It takes a few applications. Take some time between applications, and make sure you use a good sunscreen.

    if it works

to those who have had this product work why are you anonymous is it that hard to make up a name or is it the fact that you work for the company and you are tired of the "slamming" of your product
why no pictures ...... if you are really a success story then you would send the company pictures so they could post more on their web page

    Laser treatment

I found this site while looking for the ingredients to Wrecking Balm. I don't usually respond like this to research I found on the web but it's good to hear so many different experiences with the different tattoo removal treatments. I have had EIGHT laser treatments and it DOES work. However there are a few drawbacks besides the money it costs.
I have four tattoos I'm getting removed because I was young when I got them all and it doesn't fit my lifestyle as a healthcare professional. I feel like it undermines patients' confidence in my competence. One tatt is a partial sleeve covering my forearm; another is a tribal tatt around my bicep; another is a raven on my back; and yet another was a huge flaming eyeball on my chest. All except for the tribal tat have every color of the rainbow on them.
Size is a huge factor when removing your tat by laser. Not only does it affect the price of treatment, but it also affects healing time and the level of pain you WILL experience. If it is the sized of a silver dollar......my hat goes off to you because it will be nearly painless and much cheaper than my experience.
The first time I had a treatment, I took it without any painkillers (like lydocaine or lydocaine containing cream). It was horribly painful and I was shot with the laser over 60,000 times at 1.5 Joules/cm^2 (energy per unit area).
As my treatments progressed, my nerves' memory of the pain increased as did the pain and my reflexive response. I get shot up with lydocaine every time now which because of the size of my tatts is painful in and of itself. The one on my chest, about the size of a large orange (in 2-d) is almost gone now. The blue is fading last. It blisters from laser treatment, but not as bad as the partial sleeve.
The partial sleeve blisters about half an inch off of my arm all over and takes a month to heal. It is painful enough during the 1st week that over-the-counter pain pills do not work. It is irritated and uncomfortable during the second week. The third and fourth weeks it scabs and itches. There is some slight skin lifting and scarring. I suspect I will need as many as fifteen treatments total to completely remove it.
My tats have significantly faded since I began treatment but the pain is very disruptive to a normal workday. I recommend getting it done on a Friday (or your Friday) so you have a couple days to recover.
The tattoo on my chest is almost completely gone now, except for a little blue that you can hardly see once my chest hair grows back (I'm not particularly hairy either). My other tattoos have faded considerably. Be forewarned they look like some sort of skin disease, as it lightens, until it disappears.
If you are planning on getting laser treatment, you not only need to think of the cost of the treatment but, YOU NEED TO INVEST in the right kind of bandaging materials, antibiotic ointments, and moisturizing creams to promote healing and to prevent scarring. This is JUST AS IMPORTANT as the laser treatment itself. You can be a tough guy (or gal) like I was the first couple of times and try to skimp on the healing materials (because it can be nearly half as expensive as the treatment) but it will cause scarring and make it take longer to heal if you don't dress it right. Also the cracking is very painful and at times it was more painful than the treatment.
If you are planning on undergoing laser treatment, you should buy a large supply of TEGADERM (buy it in bulk online so it's cheaper) and put this over the tattoo immediately after the surgery and leave it on for two days. You can shower normally with this bandage and it locks in the moisture so that it doesn't dry out better than vasoline. It is also less painful than other dressings to apply and remove. After two days, change it and put a fresh Tegaderm patch (or patches like me) over the tat. After the next two days, you can clean it normally, the blood blisters from the 2nd degree burns the laser treatment causes will probably have drained (if not dress it with the Tegaderm again) and the bleeding should be over. DO NOT USE GAUZE unless you really enjoy pain. Even the 'no-stick' gauze will hurt to remove and damage the scabs when you remove it causing scarring and increased healing time.
I'll give the lemon juice/salt combo a try just to see for myself what kind of affect I get. I am also a biochemist and some of the theory behind why it might work is interesting (in terms of how the tonic differences between epidermis and the layers below can be expoited to wash out the tattoo). I might even put another posting down here about it after it has run its course.
About Wrecking Balm; if it contains a benzene derivitive, it may likely be a carcinogen, meaning it could cause cancer after long term use. Also hydroquinone is very reactive and there's no telling what other chemical reactions it could cause your body to undergo. Melinoma (skin cancer) is very risky to play around with because it is tough to battle and metastasizes (can spread around) easily once it is established making it lethal. However, who knows what Wrecking Blam really contains without the company listing it for us (you could analyze it spectroscopically if you have the equipment at your disposal which I don't.
Based on what others have written here, you could probably use vinegar in place of TCA (vinegar is essentially diluted acetic acid). You could concentrate the vinegar if you like by allowing an open bottle to evaporate in the sun or heat (if the vinegar is not strong enough as is). I'm not going to try it myself though because it is not healthy to apply strong acids (or bases like bleach) to your skin. Your skin is an organ too and absorbs chemicals they come into contact with which can enter your bloodstream.
Overusing niacin (a type of B vitamin) can also cause problems just as ingesting too much of any vitamin will.
I can't speak for everyone, but I did not do as much research as I should have into what my tattoo ink contained before getting my tattoos. I personally won't use anything, now, that I don't know the ingredients of. That includes Wrecking Balm.
For the guy with the Nazi symbols (or other gang related tattoos) there are often programs that will remove the tattoo by laser for free or cheaper. However, I need to get up on a soapbox for a minute: do some research about the differences in ethnicity before ascribing to some extremist, wild, stupid, ideas like Nazi-ism. If you do research, you would find that we are all greater than 99.9% the same. In addition, your white, latino, asian, or african neighbor has more similarities to you (in terms of gene pool, heridtary diseases, etc...) than someone of the same ethnicity as you on the other side of the world. Open your mind. I'll get off my soapbox now. Good luck to everyone.

    Wrecking balm

I HEARD FROM A GIRL I WORK WITH, THAT WERCKING BALM REALLY WORKS, HER FRIEND USED IT, IT TOOK ABOUT 8 MONTHS FOR HER TATOO TO FADE AWAY BUT IT WORKED. Salt and Lemon injections worked!

I had posted earlier on that I was going to try this method. I mixed salt and lemon juice and injected myself with a insulin syringe till the skin bubbled and turned white. After a few hours I was able to debride the tattoo. I do have a scar but that will fade and no one will notice it as much as a tattoo. It took over a month to heal, I applied triple antibiotic ointment and kept it cleaned and covered it with Curad silver bandages. Worked great! I am glad this one is gone. Thanks everyone for inputs and opinions.

RE: Does Wrecking Balm really works?

I just ordered 3 of the kit for $299 and along with the 6 spray for $119.. The total came to be $445.. I didn't see this website until after I ordered the system.. Hopefully it'll work, or if not, I think I'm going to get my money back.. After reading this site, it seems like it doesn't really work.. And I hope that this isn't a scam.. I also heard Wrecking Balm on a radio station.. I hope they know what they're getting their listeners into..

Does anyone know when the 60 free trial starts?? Is it the day that you get the product or the date that they bill you??

I'm really worried.. ANd does anyone know the price for moving 1 tattoo??

    Lemon Juice / Salt Water

I have my own tattoo gun and today I re-traced my tattoo with lemon juice and salt water. Not sure if it is working yet. I've been also putting peroxide on it to help it scab up. Any other tips on how to remove the tattoo? I'll let you all know if this works.

re: Salt and Lemon injections worked!

Melissa, would you be able to e-mail me the before and after pics of using this method? my email is:

    Thanks for the feedback!

I almost got sucked in and called. Thanks for the feedback, I think I'll pass.

    tattoo removal

    Hi Guys n' Dolls!!!

I have a friend that's been doing permanent makeup for about fifteen years-she's awesome at it!! She even did her own eyeliner. Talk about a steady hand and guts!!!

The way she removes a tattoo is to tattoo over it multiple times in white. Then, when it's gone, tattoo again, matching the person's skin color. A customer's son was a gang drop-out, and wanted to get rid of his gang-related tattoos. She showed me the before and after photos. very impressive.

    Maybe this will help...

    so......

So, you're tellin' me NOT to get this stuff??

    Save all the baby momma

Save all the baby momma drama & emotional crap about your sad tattoo stories & stay on topic, does this crap work?

Thank you sincerely: frustrated girl trying to get rid of her tat

    lemon and salt?

could some one please tell me how many times you applied the lemon and salt technique before your tattoo was gone?

    help pleasssssssssssse

To the person who wrote about getting their tatoo's outlined in white. I am african american do you think I could get my color matched with my skin?

I want this off my skin!!

i have a half home made/half pro 15 letter tattoo on my lower stomach. Yes a chick with a jail tatt!

******* for any people under 18 check with you local state department.. *************Arkansas offers FREE LAZER REMOVAL but only if you are under 18!! so check with your state i wish i had known this before i turned 19! I'm glad i checked out this site b4 i bought this crap!

    Outlined with white

i have tried to get my tattoo removed with the process of packing it with white ink. I had this done 3 seperate times at a cost of 200.00 each visit and the last two times i couldnt even tell a difference. so no i dont think this will help. and no sweetie I dont think you can do this if you are black (no offense) unless your tattoo is white/yellow etc. and you get packed with a brownish ink. you could try tho...

    Laser works but hurts

I recommend the laser and it continues to keep working for about a year to fade your tattoo. The wrecking ball looks like it's a waste of money but the laser does work. It hurts like hell though if you have big area. Doesnt leave a scar either but feels like a second degree burn.

    I called wrecking balm to

I called wrecking balm to inquire about prices and they were hassling me to make a purchase. I had to hang up on them. They must have caller I.D. because they ended up calling me back. Ain't that some shit!!!!
To the person using the lemon juice method to removwe tats do you use whole lemons or lemon juice in the bottle, and also where does the salt come in?
